After the results of the UP assembly elections, SP Patron Mulayam Singh Yadav suddenly reached the SP office in Lucknow on Sunday. As soon as he reached here, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav took his blessings by touching his feet.
During this, Mulayam Singh’s first statement on the assembly result also came to the fore. Mulayam said that you fought Akhilesh very well, many congratulations. Even though the SP fell short of the majority, but this time it has won about two and a half times more seats than the last election. The SP alliance has got success in 125 seats.
This time Akhilesh Yadav had handled the entire reins of the election campaign. Mulayam had campaigned only for Akhilesh’s Karhal in Mainpuri and for his old friend Parasnath’s son Lucky in Malhani seat of Jaunpur. Apart from this, he was also seen in SP’s road show in Etawah. SP has also won all three places. SP candidate Lucky Yadav defeated Bahubali JDU candidate Dhananjay Singh in Malhani seat. SP President Akhilesh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav also went to Malhni.
Paras Yadav had won from here in the 2017 assembly elections. Son Lucky won the by-election held on his death. By-elections were held in seven seats of UP at that time. This was the only seat in the account of SP.
SP alliance got 125 seats
This time in the UP elections, the BJP alliance has won 273 seats, in which BJP got 255, Apna Dal (S) got 12, and Nishad Party got 6 seats. At the same time, the SP alliance has won 125 seats. SP got 111 seats, RLD 8 and SBSP 6 seats.
Apart from this, Congress and Jansatta Dal Loktantrik Dal got two seats each, while BSP got one seat. The SP alliance has done clean sweeps in Azamgarh, Ambedkar Nagar, Kaushambi, Shamli and Ghazipur. Due to this, BJP’s Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya got defeated from Sirathu seat of Kaushambi, while sugarcane minister Suresh Rana of Yogi cabinet has to face defeat from Thana Bhawan of Shamli.
