Xiaomi has launched its three cool smartphones Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi 12X globally. All three smartphones are part of the company’s flagship phone series. Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 12 series in China in December last year. Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro are equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, while Xiaomi 12X comes with Snapdragon 870 chip. This is the price of Xiaomi 12 series
The price of Xiaomi 12 starts at $749 (approximately Rs 57,200) for the 8GB+128GB variant. The Xiaomi 12 Pro price starts at $999 (approximately Rs 76,300) for the 8GB+256GB storage variant, while the Xiaomi 12X price starts at $649 (approximately Rs 49,600) for the base 8GB+128GB storage variant. All three smartphones are available in Blue, Gray and Purple color options.
In contrast, in China, the base variant of the Xiaomi 12 is priced at CNY 3699 (approximately Rs 44,300), while the base variant of the Xiaomi 12 Pro is priced at CNY 4699 (approximately Rs 56,300). The base variant of Xiaomi 12X is priced at CNY 3199 (approximately Rs 38,350).
What’s special in Xiaomi 12
The phone runs on Android based MIUI 13. It has a 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. The smartphone is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. For photography, the Xiaomi 12 packs a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary SONY IMX766 sensor with f/1.88 aperture, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 5-megapixel macro sensor. On the front is a 32-megapixel selfie sensor.
Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, Infrared (IR), and a USB Type-C port. On-board sensors include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer and proximity sensor. The phone comes with Dolby Atmos support and has Harman Kardon-tuned stereo speakers. The phone also has support for HiRes audio. The phone packs a 4500mAh battery with 67W fast charging support and 50W wireless charging support. The phone also has 10W reverse wireless charging support.

What is special in Xiaomi 12 Pro
– The top-of-the-line flagship Xiaomi 12 Pro also runs on MIUI 13. It sports a 6.73-inch WQHD+ E5 AMOLED display with 120Hz dynamic refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It also includes the low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) backplane technology that Apple uses on its premium iPhone models.
The phone has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
For photography, the phone also has a triple rear camera setup. However, it gets a 50-megapixel Sony IMX707 primary sensor with OIS support and two 50-megapixel sensors for portrait and macro sensors with f/1.9 aperture and a 32-megapixel sensor for selfies. The phone packs a 4600mAh battery that supports 120W fast wired charging. The phone also supports 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.
Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, Infrared (IR), and a USB Type-C port. It is equipped with a four-unit speaker system with a dedicated tweeter for an immersive audio experience. The speaker system comes with Harman Kardon tuning.

What’s special in Xiaomi 12X
The phone is essentially a slightly modified version of the vanilla Xiaomi 12. It has the same display, camera setup, as well as battery and charging specifications. The only difference between the two smartphones is the processor. Xiaomi 12X comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chip coupled with up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage.
