Ekta Nagar. On the 149th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to him at Kevadiya in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat. During this, while referring to Jammu and Kashmir in his address, he said that Article 370 was buried forever in Jammu and Kashmir.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘After seven decades of independence, the resolve of one country and one constitution has been fulfilled. This is my biggest tribute to the soul of Sardar Saheb. Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s Constitution was not implemented for 70 years, those who chanted the Constitution’s garland did such a grave insult to the Constitution. The reason for this was the wall of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. The wall of Article 370 used to stop the Constitution there. She used to deprive people of their rights.
Praising the massive participation of the people of Jammu and Kashmir in the recently held assembly elections, the Prime Minister said that patriotism is in full swing in the Union Territory. He said, ‘For the first time in this assembly election, voting took place without any discrimination. For the first time the Chief Minister there has taken oath on the Constitution of India. This scene must have given great satisfaction to the makers of the Indian Constitution, their souls must have found peace and this is our humble tribute to the makers of the Constitution.
PM Modi said, ‘Like 15 August and 26 January, this occasion of 31 October fills the entire country with new energy. I extend my hearty greetings to all the countrymen on National Unity Day.
While congratulating the people on Diwali, he said, this time National Unity Day has brought a wonderful coincidence. On one hand today we are celebrating the festival of unity and on the other hand there is also the festival of Diwali. Diwali connects the entire country through lamps, illuminates the entire country and now the festival of Diwali is connecting India with the world as well. It is being celebrated as a national festival in many countries. I wish a very happy Diwali to all the Indians and well-wishers of India living in the country and the world.
