Scooty of a youth from Pune was stolen. To get it back, he is appealing to the thief in a unique way. The young man says that this scooter is the last memento of his late mother. Abhay Chougule, in his post on Instagram, said that his black Activa was stolen near the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj from Kothrud area of Pune on the day of Dussehra. After a thorough search of the surrounding area, they lodged a complaint with the police, but the scooter has not been recovered yet.
Chougule said the scooter his mother bought before she died has great sentimental value to him. According to media reports, his mother died three months ago after a long battle with cancer. Therefore, for the young man this scooter is not just a means of transportation but it is also one of his last connections with his mother.
Chougule also lost his father to COVID-19 two years ago. Chougule shared his story in Marathi on social media. He wrote, “My black Activa MH14BZ6036 was stolen on Dussehra day. This is my last memory of my mother. Please help me find it.” He has also shared his phone number and ID. He captioned the post, “Please help me find my black Activa MH14BZ6036.
Responding to his post, a user wrote, “The thief is not going to return the vehicle. The police will have to make efforts for this. It has been two years since my vehicle was stolen, but the police have not been able to find it.” Another user wrote, “My car was also stolen in February and the police found it. Yours will also be found.”
Abhay Chougule also promised that he would buy the man a new two-wheeler if he returned his mother’s scooter.
