The incident took place when three elderly women had gone to offer prayers at Bhanjada Dada Mandir, which is situated on top of a small hill about 5 kms away in the desert. When they returned after having darshan, one of the old women fainted due to the scorching heat. When a person passing by saw the elderly woman lying in an unconscious state, she informed the police officers. Varsha, who was on duty, reached the spot with a bottle of water and helped her regain her senses. Varsha then lifted the frail elderly woman on her shoulders and took her away to a safe place.
The video was posted on the official Twitter page of Gujarat Police and has garnered over 10,000 views since the date it was shared. Social media users have tied bridges of praise for the rain by making thousands of comments. Everyone appreciated Varsha’s heart touching work.
