A 15-year-old Indian boy has created an app that will help connect Ukrainian refugees in neighboring countries and provide relief to the victims of the war-torn country. Tejas Ravi Shankar, the creator of the app, is the son of GV Ravi Shankar, Managing Director, Sequoia India. Software developer Tejas built the app in less than two weeks. Ever since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began, the whole world has been uniting for Ukraine, with many individuals and organizations working together to raise funds for the country. As a result of the war, millions have been rendered homeless and forced to seek refuge in neighboring countries.
Tejas on Thursday tweeted a link to the Google Playstore app, which reads, “Launching Refuge, to help displaced people from their homes in Ukraine.” Refuge is where individuals offering help connect with those who are in need of assistance. Please

Speaking of the Refuge app, its software includes a world map that the nearest refugees can use to locate the location for aid. Also, around the world, a list has been drawn up to cover needs such as national ID-based verification facilities, food, safe places to live and medicines. Any needy person can get help with just two taps. It is available in more than 12 languages.
Tejas’s father GV Ravi Shankar congratulated his son on his achievement on Twitter. The war has left more than 10 million Ukrainians homeless, of whom 3.5 million have already fled the country and 6.5 million have fled their homes but remain in Ukraine.
