After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the Indian government on Wednesday took strict action against Pakistan. The biggest action on Pakistan is to suspend the Indus River Water Agreement. After India’s strict action, the government of Pakistan has also held a big meeting on Thursday. Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, who was stunned by India’s action, held a meeting of the National Security Committee and said that the stopping water from India would be considered as a war. He said that we want to solve the issue through negotiation, but Hindustan has created an atmosphere like a war.
Stopping water will be considered as war- Sharif
The NSC meeting of the Government of Pakistan was attended by top citizens and military leadership and discussed the action taken by India. Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that water is a lifeline of 24 million people. It will be considered as war. Stopping water is a unilateral decision of India. Pakistan rejects it. After the meeting, the Pakistani PM said, ‘Hindustan has created an atmosphere like a war. It is not a proper step to postpone the Indus Water Treaty. We are in favor of resolving the matter through dialogue. It would be injustice to stop water flow.
Pakistan shut down aircraft for India
After warning of action by the Government of India, Pakistan has immediately shut down its aircraft for India -owned or Indian -operated airlines. Also, the visa given by Indians has also been canceled and Bagha Border has also been closed.
Other decisions of Pakistan
Pakistan has canceled visas of Indian people. All border transit from India from Wagah Border Outpost has been suspended. Pakistan has suspended all visas under the SAARC Visa Rebate Scheme (SVES) issued to Indian citizens. All visas except Sikh religious pilgrims have been canceled. Under the SVES, Indian citizens present in Pakistan (except Sikh pilgrims) have been instructed to leave the country within 48 hours. Indian defense, Navy and air advisors have been declared unwanted and directed to leave Pakistan before 30 April 2025. The Indian High Commission capacity in Islamabad will be limited to 30 diplomats and employees from 30 April 2025. All trade with India from any third country through Pakistan has been immediately suspended.
