Pakistan has announced the formation of a new force, Army Rocket Force, which is equipped with advanced technology and aimed at strengthening its war capabilities.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif made the announcement at an event organized on the occasion of 78th Independence Day late Wednesday and in a program organized in memory of the recent four -day military confrontation with India.
Announcing the formation of Army Rocket Force Command, Prime Minister Sharif said, “This is an important milestone in the country’s military reaction capacity.”
However, he did not give any further information about new force or its responsibilities.
The new force of Pakistan is clearly inspired by its evergreen ally, China’s People’s Liberation Army Rocket Force, which controls the arsenal of land -based ballistic, hypersonic, cruise missiles, including both atomic and traditional missiles. President Asif Ali Zardari, head of the three armies and national and foreign dignitaries were also present in the event.
The Prime Minister described the military conflict between Pakistan and India in May as a “big win” and described the country’s nuclear capacity as a strategic need in response to India’s nuclear power.
He claimed that “In only four days, India’s ego was shattered …” he thanked US President Donald Trump, which he asked for “to facilitate the ceasefire between India and Pakistan”, and emphasized that the Kashmir issue should be resolved according to the United Nations resolutions.
India started Operation Sindoor on 7 May, under which terrorist structures in Pakistan and Pak occupied Kashmir were targeted in response to the attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, killing 26 civilians.
India and Pakistan agreed on May 10 to end the struggle after a drone and missile attacks from across the border for four days. India has been continuously saying that agreed to end enmity with Pakistan has been agreed after direct talks between the military operating heads (DGMOs) of the two armies.
In his address, Prime Minister Sharif also expressed gratitude to all the friendly countries including China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, United Arab Emirates and Iran for supporting Pakistan’s stance during a conflict with India.
Sharif also urged all political parties, stakeholders and civil society to unite to protect national interests. He said that the proposed charter is not just an economic revival scheme, but a framework based on a broad national interest.
Sharif also said that Pakistan has given a “unique sacrifice” in the war against terrorism, killing 90,000 people and suffered a financial loss of over US $ 150 billion.
Highlighting the economic success of his government, he said that inflation has come down from 34% to 5% and the interest rate has come down from 21% to 11%.
