Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobanin said that at least 60 Ukrainian drones were killed targeting the Russian capital on Tuesday morning.
Sobanin reported that at least 11 drones were killed in Ramensky and Domodedovo districts of Moscow region around the Russian capital.
He did not say where the other drones were killed, only told that they were “flying towards Moscow”.
Flights have been banned from two Moscow airports, Domodedovo and Zukowski.
Sobyanin said in an online statement that no casualties were reported, but the attack has caused minor damage to the roof of a building in Moscow.
The attack, which was the biggest attack targeting Moscow in several months, took place in Saudi Arabia on the day of America-Ukraine talks.
