India-Pakistan ceasefire
Islamabad: Pakistan said on Sunday that it is committed to implementing the ‘ceasefire’ with India with full honesty. He also said that his force is handling the situation with ‘responsibility and restraint’. India and Pakistan on Saturday announced to agreed to stop all types of firing and military action in land, air and sea with immediate effect.
Ceasefire violation
It was also violated by Pakistan a few hours after the ceasefire was announced. After this, India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri called upon Pakistan to take appropriate steps on these violations during a press conference late Saturday night and deal with the situation with ‘severity and responsibility’.
What did Pakistan’s Foreign Office say
The Foreign Office spokesperson responded to the media’s questions regarding the statement of Misri here, saying, “Pakistan is committed to implementing the ceasefire between Pakistan and India honestly.” The spokesperson claimed that Pakistan’s armies are handling the situation with responsibility and restraint. ” He said, “We believe that any problem faced in the smooth implementation of ceasefire should be resolved through dialogue at appropriate levels.” The soldiers on the ground should also be restrained.
India’s stand is clear
While Pakistan is describing the firing between the two countries as ‘Sangh Saviram’ with India, New Delhi has termed it as ‘consent’. In response to the Pahalgam terror attack, the tension between the two countries increased after the Indian Armed Forces attacked terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK) last week.
