A deadly attack on a boarding school in Kursk region in Russia
Kiev: Ukraine and Russia have blamed each other for a deadly attack on a boarding school in Sudja city of Kursk region in Russia. The city has been under Ukraine’s control for the last five months. Ukraine’s armed forces ‘general staff’ said on Saturday night that four people were killed and four others were seriously injured in the attack. Ukraine said Ukrainian soldiers have taken out 84 people safely from the debris of the building. Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky said Moscow bombed the boarding school in which ordinary citizens had taken refuge.
What did the Russian Ministry of Defense say?
The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed in the early hours of Sunday that the missile attack on the school was carried out by the Ukrainian Army. He said the missile was fired from Sumi region of Ukraine. Meanwhile, Ukraine’s emergency service said on Sunday that the death toll on an apartment in Poltawa, Ukraine on Saturday, has increased to 12, including two children. He said that 17 people were injured in this attack on the five -storey building.

Russia fired 55 drones in Ukraine
Ukrainian officials said Moscow fired 55 drones in Ukraine on Sunday night. According to Ukraine’s Air Force, 40 drones were destroyed overnight. Regional Governor Oleh Sinihubov said on Sunday that two people were injured in a drone attack in Kharkeev area. The Russian Ministry of Defense said that five Ukrainian drones were killed in five areas of western Russia overnight. He said that three drones were killed in the Kursk region and one by one in Belgorod and Briyansk regions. Regional Governor Vyacheslav Glaidkov said that one person has died in a drone attack in Belgorod region. (AP)
