Flood occurred in many districts of Nepal
Due to continuous rains in Nepal, there have been floods in many districts. At least 39 people died due to the floods. It has been raining in many parts of Nepal since Friday. Disaster officials have warned of flash floods in many districts of Nepal.
9 people died in the capital Kathmandu
According to local media reports, 9 people died in Kathmandu, 16 in Lalitpur, 5 in Bhaktapur, 3 in Kawarepalan Chowk, two each in Panchthar and Dhankuta and one each in Jhapa and Dhading. A total of 11 people are missing in the flood.
226 houses submerged in Kathmandu
Police said that 226 houses have been submerged in Kathmandu. A rescue team of about 3,000 security personnel has been deployed by Nepal Police in the affected areas. People are being sent to safe places amid the rain.
