Former South African President Jacob Zuma and his daughter Duduzile
Johannesburg: The daughter of former South African President Jacob Zuma has been arrested on charges of terrorism. After the arrest, he will now be produced in court. Zuma’s daughter Duduzile Zuma-Ambudla is also a Member of Parliament and is accused of inciting violence during the riots in July 2021. More than 350 people were killed in the riots in July 2021.
What did the police say?
Police said Duduzile surrendered to the police on Thursday. She is facing allegations of inciting the Act and violence related to terrorism and related activities. Police spokesperson Brigadier Thandi Mabambo said, “The arrest is the result of a careful investigation of a serious organized offense by the crime branch of the Durban Police, which was initiated after the violence in the country in 2021.”

The Duduzile political party has confirmed that he will be produced in court on Thursday. The case against Duduzile is based on a post on ‘X’ (earlier Twitter). Duduzile posted this after his father was sent to jail and appealed to the protesters to allegedly cause more damage during the nationwide demonstrations.
