Pakistani aircraft closed for Indian aircraft
Meanwhile, Pakistan on Thursday shut down its aircraft and Wagah border for Indian aircraft. Pakistan also banned all types of trade with India and said that any attempt to prevent or change the water received to Pakistan under the Indus Water Treaty would be considered a war action. These announcements were made after a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
Sharif meeting with the three army chiefs
Sharif held a meeting with the Chief Ministers of the government and the three army chiefs in view of India’s strict action after the Pahalgam attack. A statement issued after the National Security Committee i.e. NSC meeting said that Pakistan’s sovereignty and security will be responded strongly in every way if there is any kind of threat. According to the statement, Pakistan ‘rejected’ India’s decision to suspend the Indus Water Treaty after the Pahalgam terror attack and said that it is a lifeline for 24 million Pakistanis.
