Bangkok: The number of deaths in the earthquake on Friday in Myanmar is continuously increasing. Now the death toll has crossed 3000. In such a situation, the ruling jute government has announced a temporary ceasefire in the country’s civil war till 22 April to facilitate earthquake relief operations and show sympathy to the affected people. Government news television channel gave this information on Wednesday.
In a statement issued by the military high command, the announcement has been made after a unilateral temporary ceasefire declared by armed rebel groups opposing military rule. The news on television stated that ethnic armed groups and local rebels should avoid attacking state security forces and military bases, and should not be organized, the army should not gather or expand the area.
Appeal to armed groups not to attack
The Junta government has appealed to the armed forces to stop the attacks and do not force the army to retaliate. The statement said that if these groups do not follow these conditions, the army will take necessary steps. Please tell that Myanmar has been in the grip of civil war for almost 2 years. Earthquake has caused great destruction in this country. Rescue operations are being conducted in Myanmar with the help of countries like India and China.
