Ryan Routh, who tried to kill Donald Trump
Donald Trump Assassination Attempt: The accused had planned the entire attempt to assassinate former US President Donald Trump. The accused had waited for Trump by camping outside a golf course in Florida with his rifle and food items for about 12 hours. The attempt to assassinate Trump was made on Sunday in West Palm Beach, Florida, when he was playing golf. Federal Bureau of Investigation officials have foiled the attempt to kill Trump and arrested the suspect. The name of the arrested person is Ryan Routh.
The accused fled from the spot
The attack on Trump took place on Sunday afternoon when the former president was playing golf and Secret Service agents stationed at a short distance from him saw that part of an AK rifle was sticking out from among the bushes on the edge of the field about 400 yards away. Officials said that an agent fired a shot, after which Routh dropped the rifle and fled in an SUV. They said that while fleeing, Routh had also left two backpacks along with the rifle, a scope used for target shooting and a camera at the spot. Routh was later caught.
I hated Trump
According to the FBI affidavit, Routh was near the golf course from 1:59 a.m. to 2:31 a.m. the next day. In the information provided by Routh about himself online, he has described himself as a person who built housing for the homeless in Hawaii, tried to recruit fighters for Ukraine to defend itself against Russia and who hates Trump. Routh wrote about Iran in a self-published book ‘Ukraine’s Unwinnable War’ in 2023 and said, “You are free to kill Trump.” (Language)
