Permanent representative of India at the United Nations and Melissa Fleming, the Under General Secretary of the United Nations Department of Global Communications, signed a memorandum of agreement to renew the ‘Hindi@United Nations’ project for a five -year period from April 1, 2025 to 31 March 2030 at a ceremony held at a permanent mission of India. The Government of India has said to give US $ 15 lakh per year for five years for this program.
Awareness will spread through Hindi language among Hindi speaking people around the world
Fleming at the present time emphasized the importance of social media and focused on the efforts of the DGC to spread the message in Hindi through the work by maximizing the use of social media. On the occasion, Harish said that renewal of the MoU is a proof of the Indian government’s commitment to give maximum importance to Hindi, including one of the non-official languages in the United Nations.
