New Delhi. Another kidney racket has been busted in Delhi. Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested 8 people including the kingpin of this racket. These people used to charge 40 lakh rupees for kidney transplant. Apart from Delhi, the links of this gang were spread in 6 states including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Gujarat. These people were carrying out this illegal business in 11 hospitals of these 6 states. Giving information about this, Delhi Police DCP Crime Amit Goyal said that we have busted the interstate kidney racket and arrested 8 people, in which Sandeep Arya is the main kingpin of this gang. The people involved in the gang used to identify the patient and the donor and then get the transplant done by preparing fake documents.

The kingpin Sandeep used to charge 40 lakh rupees for a transplant. The work was divided among these 8 people, someone used to prepare fake documents, someone used to bring the donor. They used to prepare documents in the name of the patient’s relatives. The documents recovered by the police are being investigated. The police have come to know about 11 hospitals in 6 states where they were running their illegal business. The DCP said that we have tracked 5 patients and 2 donors and action is being taken against them.

He told that we had received a complaint that a person named Sandeep Arya had taken Rs 35 lakh for transplant but the transplant did not take place. After this complaint, our team became active and caught all of them. Let us tell you that recently Delhi Police had busted an international kidney racket whose links extended to Bangladesh. In this case, a woman doctor of Apollo Hospital and two members of her staff were arrested.
