Mumbai, April 2 (IANS). ‘Swabhiman’, the women’s CSR initiative of Adani Electricity and Adani Foundation, in partnership with Mahila Economic Vikas Mahamandal (MAVIM), on Thursday announced that ‘Swateja Mart’ and ‘Swateja Kitchen’ have crossed the milestone of Rs 1 crore revenue in just one year.
This achievement reflects the success of women-led entrepreneurship made possible through strong public-private collaboration.
Minister of State for Women and Child Development Aditi Tatkare and Managing Director of MAVIM Rajlakshmi Shah (IAS) visited Swateja Mart.
During the tour, Tatkare visited various stalls, interacted with women entrepreneurs. During this, he inaugurated ‘Sweteja Kitchen’ and also placed online orders through Swiggy.
He appreciated the integrated processes and support given by Adani Foundation and MAVIM and distributed checks to the women beneficiaries who successfully completed the large scale orders.
Tatkare said, “Swateja Mart and Swateja Cloud Kitchen are exemplary projects that showcase how organizations like Adani Electricity, Adani Foundation and MAVIM are promoting women empowerment, creating meaningful livelihood opportunities and encouraging financial independence.”
The project, implemented under the Swabhiman scheme in partnership with MAVIM and BMC, has empowered over 380 women self-help groups and benefited over 4,500 women through skill training, savings initiatives and access to institutional credit.
Swateja Mart and Swateja Cloud Kitchen establish sustainable market linkages through stalls, weekly markets, corporate outlets, online platforms and food delivery channels, collectively generating a turnover of over Rs 1 crore to date.
Adani Electricity spokesperson said, “This achievement underlines the power of public-private partnerships in driving women-led development. We are proud to work with MAVIM and local authorities to create models that promote financial independence and social empowerment,” Adani Electricity spokesperson said.
Adani Foundation spokesperson stressed that “Beyond the numbers, this achievement is a symbol of women’s confidence, resilience and economic empowerment.
The spokesperson further added, “Swateja Mart and Swateja Kitchen are examples of how focused CSR efforts under the Swabhiman initiative can have a wide-ranging and lasting impact.”
