New Delhi. Suryakumar Yadav celebrated captaincy by hitting a stormy fifty. In the first T20 match against Sri Lanka, Surya laid the foundation of Team India’s big score by hitting a fifty in 22 balls. The Indian team scored 213 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs in which Surya scored 58 runs. Right-handed batsman Suryakumar Yadav hit 8 fours and 2 sixes in 26 balls. This is the 20th half-century of Surya’s T20 International career. He is captaining the team on the Sri Lanka tour. The Indian team is playing a T20 series in Sri Lanka with a new captain and new head coach Gautam Gambhir.
Surya’s bat is very powerful against Sri Lanka. Earlier, Surya had scored 50, 34, 07, 51 and 112* in T20 International matches against Sri Lanka.
