Mathura. On the holy festival of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, every corner of Shri Krishna Janmasthan is filled with devotion. Like every year, this time too, Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan has made unique arrangements for the Abhishek and decoration of Thakur. On the day of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Thakur ji will wear the “Somchandrika Poshak” and sit in the “Padma Kanti” Pushp Bungalow. On the 5251st birth anniversary of Shri Krishna, Deepdaan will be done with the same number of lamps at 7 pm on Janmashtami.
Secretary of Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan, Kapil Sharma and member Gopeshwarnath Chaturvedi jointly said that for the convenience of lakhs of pilgrims visiting the birthplace, many new arrangements have been made by the Sansthan this time, the main one among which is the extension of the darshan time in the temples located at the birthplace. Janmashtami will begin on August 26 with Shehnai playing and then Mangala Aarti which will be held at 5:30 in the morning.
On this occasion, the sanctum sanctorum will be given the form of Kansa’s prison. At 8 am, Thakur will be given Panchamrit Abhishek and at 9 am, there will be a Pushpanjali program in which the best singers of Braj will pay tribute with their performances and under the chairmanship of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, President of Sri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan, saints and scholars will present the public welfare works done by Sri Krishna through discourses.
According to the secretary, on August 25, at 6 pm, along with the divine procession, costumes will be offered to Lord Keshavdev Ji, Bhagwati Yogmaya, Radha Krishna Yugal Sarkar. In the same sequence, the presentation of the Leelas of Lord Krishna through Raasleela has started on the Leela stage of Shri Krishna Janmasthan and this program starting at 7 pm will continue daily till August 28.
In other programs, on August 25, a procession of artists of various dance and musical genres invited from different parts of the country by the UP Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad will be taken out from Gate No. 1 of the birthplace. This procession, which is taken out every year, has created its own identity due to its colourful form and combination of dance forms. In the same series, a grand procession will be organized by the Sri Krishna Janmotsav Samiti on August 26 at 6 pm starting from Sri Krishna Janmasthan and passing through various markets will end at the birthplace itself.
The Sri Krishna Janma Mahabhishek program will begin with Ganpati and Navgrah Sthapana Pujan at 11 pm on 26 August. After this, Sahastraarchan will be done with Tulsi leaves and lotus flowers. The doors will be closed for Prakatya Darshan at 11:59 pm and will open with the Prakatya Aarti at 12 midnight. After Abhishek, Shringar Aarti will be at 12:45 am and Shayan Aarti will be at 1:55 am.
According to the new arrangement, pilgrims and devotees will be able to enter the birthplace premises from 5:30 am to 1:30 am. Since on this occasion every devotee visiting the birthplace is given prasad after the night Abhishek, the making of prasad has started at the birthplace. For the convenience of pilgrims, luggage and shoe rooms are being made in the parking in front of Govindnagar police station, Govindam near Garteshwar temple and Radha Park in front of Garteshwar temple.
Along with this, a lost and found centre will be set up in the vehicle parking near gate number 1. All the devotees have been advised to leave their mobile phones, cameras, remote keys, bags, matchboxes, bidis, cigarettes, tobacco, knives, blades or other electronic items at their place of stay. Due to various religious functions organized in various temples located in the Sri Krishna Janmasthan complex, devotion keeps dancing in the birthplace from morning till late night on the day of Janmashtami.
