South Korean car manufacturer Kia Motors has increased the price of its Carens MPV in India by up to Rs 60,000. Now its starting price is Rs 9.6 lakh. The company launched it on 15 February. Since then it is running in tremendous demand.
The Caravan was offered with three engine options. These options are Smartstream 1.5 Petrol, Smartstream 1.4 T-GDi Petrol and 1.5 CRDi VGT Diesel. It gets three transmission options – 6MT, 7DCT and 6AT. The Kia Carens is available in 5 trim levels – Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury and Luxury Plus.
The premium to luxury trims offer both seven seater and luxury plus trim 6 and 7 seater options. To make the Cars a connected car, it has been given the feature of ‘Kia Connect’. In Kia Connect, users have been given 66 connected features in categories like Navigation, Remote Control, Vehicle Management, Safety & Security and Convenience.
In the market, the Kia Carens competes with cars like Maruti Suzuki XL6, Mahindra Marazzo, Toyota Innova Crysta and Hyundai Alcazar.
