Renault has launched its cheapest car Kwid in a new avatar. The price of the base variant of 2022 Kwid has already increased by Rs 24,500. Along with the new look, many new features have also been added to it. Its 0.8-litre engine will offer mileage of up to 22.25 kmpl. The Renault Kwid directly competes with the Maruti Alto 800. Here we are going to compare the price and features of both the vehicles.
Kwid vs Alto Price:
The base variant of Renault Kwid 2022 RXL 0.8 has been priced at Rs 4.49 lakh. For its top variant CLIMBER EASY-R, you will have to spend up to Rs 5.83 lakh (ex-showroom). While the price of Maruti Alto hatchback ranges from Rs 3.25 lakh to Rs 4.95 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). That is, you will find Alto economical in terms of price.

Kwid vs Alto Engine & Transmission
The special thing is that the Kwid 2022 comes in two engine options – 0.8 liter petrol and 1.0 liter petrol. The first engine generates 54PS of power and 72Nm of torque, while the second engine generates 68PS of power and 91Nm of torque. It has manual and automatic gearbox options. Powering the Alto is a 0.8-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine (with 5-speed manual). It gives 48PS and 69Nm. Alto also gets the option of CNG which has given mileage of more than 31KM.
Kwid vs Alto Interior Features
You get a long list of features in KWID. It has an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports Apple Car Play and Android Auto. It gets a fully digital instrument cluster with video playback and voice recognition, electrically adjustable ORVMs and sporty seats. On the other hand, the Alto gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with keyless entry and front power windows with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Kwid vs Alto Safety Features
Renault Kwid gets features like dual front airbags, ABS and EBD, seat belt reminder, overspeed alert, reverse parking sensor and day-night IRVM with load limiter, remote keyless entry, among others. At the same time, standard safety features of Alto include driver side airbag, rear parking sensors and ABS with EBD.
