Skoda launched the Kushak compact SUV in the Indian market in June 2021. The SUV has received an overwhelming response from car buyers. It is based on the MQB-AO-IN platform, which is also based on the VW Taigun and koda Slavia sedans. To celebrate the success of the India 2.0 project, Skoda has launched the new Kushak Monte Carlo variant in the Indian market.

It is positioned above the top-spec style variant. The new Monte Carlo variant is available at a starting price of Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Skoda Kushak Monte Carlo Top Changes
The Skoda Kushak Monte Carlo Edition looks sportier than the regular model. It has been introduced in two color options – Tornado Red and Candy White. The vehicle gets the traditional butter-fly pattern multi-slat grille, which now gets glossy black surround instead of chrome surround. On the sides of the grille are crystalline LED headlamps with DRLs. The SUV also gets a glossy black front diffuser.
There is a Monte Carlo badge on the front fender. It rides on new 17-inch dual-tone Vega alloy wheels. The vehicle gets sporty red brake calipers at the front wheels of the 1.5L TSI variant, while the 1.0L variant gets black brake calipers. It gets a black roof with black exterior glass and chromed door handles and matte black roof rails. At the rear, the Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition gets a dual-tone spoiler, and a glossy black rear diffuser and trunk garnish. The koda and Kushk lettering is now finished in gloss black.

Inside the cabin, the Skoda Kushak Monte Carlo variant gets dual-tone upholstery in red and black. It gets dual-tone ventilated front leather seats with Monte Carlo Inscription. Red stitching is also added to the door armrest and center armrest. For a sporty feel, red ambient lighting and aluminum pedals have been given in it.
The dual-tone theme with ruby red metallic inserts has been introduced on the center console and front door handles. It gets a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, two-spoke multi-functional steering wheel and a new digital instrument console. Adding to this, the SUV gets Monte Carlo engraved scuff plates on the front doors, a Skoda sound system with 8 speakers and subwoofer, a panoramic sunroof etc.

It is available with two engine options – a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder TSI and a 1.5L 4-cylinder TSI. While the former is good for 114bhp and 178Nm, the latter produces 148bhp and 250Nm of torque. Transmission options include 6-speed manual, 6-speed torque converter automatic (1.0L TSI) and 7-speed DSG (1.5L TSI).
