The country’s largest two-wheeler company Hero MotoCorp is showing full vigilance regarding the launch of its first electric scooter. Till now no information has been revealed about it officially. According to new reports related to this, this EV will be launched as Vida brand. At the same time, on July 1, it can be launched for the common man. After the incidents of fire in the electric vehicle, the company wants to bring this e-scooter to the market by banging it. Let us tell you that earlier this scooter was to be launched in March. Later its launch was postponed.
Electric scooter being ready in Chittoor
According to a report, this electric vehicle of Hero is being manufactured at the Chittoor Manufacturing Facility in Andhra Pradesh. The company has shared the teaser of this electric scooter only last year. It is believed that after launching in July, its delivery will be done later this year. It seems that the company will start selling this EV all over the world simultaneously. It is being told that the sale of this Hero e-scooter will also be done in Europe and Latin America. In the Indian market, it can compete with the already existing TVS iCube, Bajaj Czech Electric, Ola S1.

Charging infrastructure also prepared
Hero MotoCorp and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) have jointly created the charging infrastructure for electric two-wheelers across the country. As per Hero’s collaboration with Bharat Petroleum, the two companies will set up charging stations in nine cities starting from Delhi and Bengaluru in the first phase. After this it will be expanded to other cities across the country. The development of basic infrastructure in the first two cities will start soon and each charging station will have multiple charging points including DC and AC chargers. The company says that they will be available for all two-wheelers.

The company is also working on the prime product
According to the company’s CFO Niranjan Gupta, apart from electric products, Hero MotoCorp is also working on launching more and more products in the premium portfolio. Which will boost the market share of two-wheeler manufacturers in the segment. On the company’s strategy, Gupta said Hero MotoCorp will continue its investments in Ather Energy and Gogoro, two companies where it has already made significant investments.
