Tata Motors recently took the wraps off the new Curvv electric SUV concept car. The company plans to bring 10 electric vehicles in the portfolio by 2026. TATA NEXON EV LONG RANGE
Tata Motors is all set to launch the long range version of the Nexon EV in the country. The current model of Tata Nexon EV gets a battery pack of 30.2 kWh capacity, which is capable of delivering a range of 312 km on a single charge. However, the new 2022 model may come with a battery pack of 40kWh capacity, which will be capable of delivering a range of close to 400 kms on a single charge. Apart from this, Tata may tweak the surface and boot space of this model to fit the larger battery pack. Features like ventilated seats, air purifier, cruise control and park mode can be found in the new version.
TATA ALTROZ EV
Tata Motors showcased the Altroz EV at the 2020 Auto Expo. The new model is expected to be launched before the end of this year. The company’s Ziptron technology will be used in this. It is expected to get a range between 250-300 km. The company may also use an updated variant of Ziptron technology for the top model. Similar to the compact electric SUV, the Altroz EV can be offered with the ZConnect app, which offers 35 connected car features.
TATA PUNCH EV
Tata Motors is also expected to develop an electric version of the punch micro SUV. It is likely to be launched in 2023. The new model will be the cheapest electric model from the brand in the country. The new model is likely to use Ziptron EV powertrain technology similar to what has been done on the Nexon EV. The micro SUV is likely to get a 30.2kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The Nexon EV offers a claimed range of 312km on a single charge.
TATA CURVV BASED EV
Tata Motors recently introduced the new Curvv electric SUV concept car. The production of this SUV is likely to start by 2024. This car will be offered with electric, petrol and diesel engine options. It is based on the Generation 2 platform, which is basically a modified version of Tata’s X1 platform. The length of this SUV is likely to be 4.3 meters and it will come with a longer wheelbase.
