Toyota may stop manufacturing in the UK. The government’s policy behind this is to promote electric vehicles. This information has been given in the report of Times of London. The new UK government policy aims to eliminate gasoline and diesel cars by 2030. And hybrid vehicles will be allowed to run only till 2035.
Toyota said it plans to sell zero-emissions vehicles in the UK and Europe by 2035, which will be five years after a government order in the UK. All the car makers including Toyota are moving towards sustainable mobility option. To cut carbon emissions, companies around the world are working on hybrid, plug-in and electric vehicles.
Hilux price announced
Apart from this, Toyota has also recently announced the price of Hilux in India. Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has priced the SUV Hilux in the range of Rs 33.99 lakh to Rs 36.8 lakh. This vehicle was launched earlier this year.
Tadashi Asazuma, Executive Vice President, TKM, said in a statement that the Hilux is designed for the thrill-seekers with excellent engineering, safety and comfort. So far 20 million units of Hilux have been sold in 180 countries in the global market. TKM had launched this vehicle in January but due to heavy demand for the vehicle and supply affected, its booking was stopped in February.
