The mid-size SUV debuted in the Indian market with the Renault Duster. However, in terms of new features and updates, it lags behind the rest of the vehicles. Now the company is soon going to bring a brand new Renault Duster. The special thing is that apart from being a new vehicle, it will come with the new CMF-B platform.
According to a report by Autocar, the design of the new car looks similar to the earlier Duster with some modern details being added as well. Features that will remain the same include larger flared wheel arches, square off fenders, an integrated headlight and grille, and an off-roader-like stance.

Considering the price, the third-gen Duster will try to offer many great features. It will target customers who are looking for a simple car that can go off-road. It is likely to be offered with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The India-spec model could be offered with a turbocharged petrol engine with a mild hybrid system. A plug-in hybrid model may also be launched in our market.

That’s why Duster closed
The company has decided to stop the production of Duster in India only last month. One reason for this is the decline in sales. The Duster saw a sharp drop in sales in the last 6 months with less than 1,500 units sold in India. In January 2022, Duster sales stood at 0. In comparison, Hyundai Creta sold 9,869 units and Kia Seltos 11,483 units in January 2022.
