Paris Olympics 2024: With less than a week left for the Paris Olympics 2024 to begin, athletes participating in this great sporting event have started arriving at the Games Village. This time a team of 117 athletes from India has reached the Games Village, in which everyone is hopeful that better performance will be seen than the Tokyo Olympics. One name in this is also that of star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, who won the gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics. Neeraj’s excellent performance has definitely been seen in the last one year, but he has also had to struggle with fitness problems. In such a situation, just before the Paris Olympics, Neeraj’s coach for the last 5 years, Bartonitz, has made a big statement about his fitness.

Neeraj is now fully fit

While everyone is expecting Neeraj to win gold in the Paris Olympics, his coach Bartonitz, in his statement to PTI regarding his fitness, said that everything is going according to our planning. At present, Neeraj has no problem with the thigh injury and he is completely fine. We all hope that Neeraj will play to his full potential in the Olympics and will try to give 100 percent. There are still a few days left for the Olympics, so we have increased the level of training in which Neeraj is doing throwing sessions.

Javelin throw event will be held in Paris Olympics on 6 August

The qualification round for the javelin throw event in the upcoming Paris Olympics will begin on August 6, for which there is still about 2 weeks left. When Bartonitz was asked about Chopra’s training program, he said that we have sessions of ‘sprinting’, ‘jumping’ or ‘throwing’ or ‘weightlifting’ in the morning. There are two sessions in the morning and evening, each of which lasts for two to two and a half hours. Chopra’s method is similar to the one adopted before the Tokyo Olympics, in which he is focusing more on training rather than tournaments and he is also working on strengthening his ‘blocking’ leg to reduce the pressure on his ‘groin’.
