Mamta Kulkarni gets relief in drugs case
Actress Mamta Kulkarni has got a big relief in a drug-related case. Recently, the Bombay High Court has quashed the FIR registered against Kulkarni due to lack of evidence. Actress Mamta had filed a petition and said that she was being implicated in the drug case. After hearing her petition, the Bombay High Court took a new decision and acquitted Kulkarni in the drugs case as there was no evidence against her other than the allegations leveled against her in the FIR.
Bombay High Court to Mamta Kulkarni got relief
The High Court has quashed the drug smuggling case of Rs 2000 crores going on against Mamta Kulkarni. The actress was accused of smuggling drugs along with her husband Vicky Goswami. The court said that there is not enough evidence against Mamta. For this reason this case is closed. A bench of Justice Bharti Dangre and Justice Manjusha Deshmukh has quashed the drugs case against Kulkarni.

Let us tell you that actress Mamta Kulkarni has worked in 50 Hindi films before shifting to Kenya with her husband. The actress’s husband Vicky Goswami is a drug mafia who is trapped as the alleged mastermind behind the manufacture and purchase of ephedrine, a controlled substance under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. In this case, the actress’s lawyer had filed a petition in the High Court in the year 2018. The actress had said in her petition that all the allegations against her are baseless and she is innocent in this case. The actress had also demanded the cancellation of this case against her.
Mamta Kulkarni was involved in drug smuggling in 2016
Mamta Kulkarni made her debut with Raj Kumar and Nana Patekar’s 1992 film ‘Tiranga’. Mamta has worked in films like ‘Karan Arjun’, ‘Krantiveer’, ‘Waqt Hamara Hai’, ‘Sabse Bada Khiladi’ in the 1990s. The actress, who stayed away from the silver screen, was one of the accused in the 2016 drug smuggling case in which ephedrine worth Rs 2000 crore was seized.
