New Delhi. After not getting the expected number of seats in the Lok Sabha elections, now the BJP high command can make radical changes in its organization in the states. A series of meetings has been going on in the BJP since the Lok Sabha elections. In this connection, today the BJP has called a meeting of all its organization ministers. In this important meeting, the performance of the party in every state will be discussed and necessary steps will be taken to improve it. It is believed that after the meeting of the organization ministers, the BJP can make major changes at the state level in states like UP which performed poorly in the Lok Sabha elections.
In the Lok Sabha elections, BJP had set a target of 370 seats for itself and more than 400 seats for NDA, but it missed this target by a huge margin. BJP itself got only 240 seats. BJP’s performance was very poor during the Lok Sabha elections in UP, which has 80 seats. Here Samajwadi Party got the maximum of 37 seats. Whereas, earlier Samajwadi Party could not win more than 5 seats. The situation was such that even after building the Ram temple, BJP lost the Lok Sabha seat of Faizabad-Ayodhya to SP. In Amethi, BJP’s firebrand leader Smriti Irani was defeated by local Congress worker KL Sharma. BJP also faced a bad fate in Maharashtra and West Bengal. BJP could not win the expected seats in Tamil Nadu as well. Due to this, BJP is being criticized a lot on the political platform. In such a situation, now BJP is fully engaged in preparing itself to get fit again.
In the coming time, there are assembly elections in 3 states including Maharashtra and Haryana. BJP is in power in both the places. Obviously, BJP wants to regain its lost ground by winning these two states. In such a situation, the meeting of the organization ministers is very important for the BJP.
