Budget 2024: Vande Bharat Sleeper and Vande Bharat Metro will pick up more speed

New Delhi. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the general budget in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. It is expected that after the budget, Sleeper Vande Bharat and Vande Bharat Metro will pick up speed. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had given hints in this regard during the elections. He had said that many trains of these two categories would come on track.

Indian Railways is currently focusing on three things. Safety of trains, station development and providing better facilities to passengers traveling by trains.

During the second term of NDA, around 50 Vande Bharat trains have been started. Passengers are liking these trains a lot. In the third term, along with Vande Bharat, Sleeper Vande Bharat and Vande Bharat Metro will be launched on the tracks. During the elections, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had said that Sleeper Vande Bharat and Vande Bharat Metro will be launched on the tracks soon. Because of this, it is believed that some announcement will be made for these two categories in the budget.

Features of Sleeper Vande Bharat

Sleeper Vande Bharat Express will have 16 coaches. Like Rajdhani, it will have third AC, second AC and first AC coaches. The design of berths, air ducts, cable ducts and washrooms will also be different from Rajdhani. The maximum speed of this train will be 160 kmph, so that long distances can be covered in less time. Just like there is a difference between chair car and executive class in Vande Bharat, in the same way, more facilities will be provided to the passengers in first AC as compared to third and second AC. There will be more cushioned berths in it.

A look at the Vande Bharat Metro

The specialty of this train will be that it will reach the speed of 100 kmph in less time than the current Vande Bharat. The current Vande Bharat Express takes 52 seconds to reach the speed of 100 kmph from zero, but the Vande Bharat Metro is being designed in such a way that it can reach the speed of 100 kmph from zero in 45 to 47 seconds. But its maximum speed will be kept lower than the current Vande Bharat Express. Currently its speed is 180 kmph but the speed of Vande Bharat Metro will be kept at 120 to 130 kmph. Since the stations of Vande Bharat Metro will be close to each other, there will be no need to maintain a very high speed.
