The prices of ATF, which is used as a fuel for aircraft, were also raised by 0.2 per cent on Saturday amid rising international oil prices. This is the eighth consecutive hike in ATF prices this year.
How much did the price increase? According to the notification issued by the public oil companies, the price of ATF has been increased by Rs 277.5 per kiloliter i.e. 0.2 percent. After this price hike, the ATF prices in the capital Delhi have gone up to Rs 1,13,202.33 per kiloliter. In this way the price of ATF has reached a record level.
Let us tell you that on March 16, there was a huge increase of 18.3 percent in the prices of ATF. After that, on April 1, the price was increased by two percent. After the latest price hike, the ATF price in Mumbai has now gone up to Rs 1,11,981.99 per kl, while in Kolkata it has been priced at Rs 1,17,753.60 and Chennai to Rs 1,16,933.49 per kl.
However, after this increase, it is now being speculated that air travel will become expensive. The price of ATF, which accounts for nearly 40 per cent of the operating cost of an airline, has also risen steadily this year. In the eight price hikes so far this year, ATF prices have gone up by Rs 39,180.42 per kilolitre.
