Apple’s upcoming iPhone 14 series could prove to be more useful and efficient than the previous generation iPhones. This is because the iPhone 14 series is expected to feature satellite connectivity to help users in emergency situations. The facility will be able to connect to satellite networks in areas where there is no signal, especially in remote areas. The iPhone 14 is expected to hit the market in September 2022.
How will satellite technology work?
This exclusive information has been shared by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. He has shared in his report that the iPhone 14 will use the satellite connectivity feature to connect to satellite networks in rural areas. Last year also a similar report had surfaced before the launch of iPhone 13 series but it did not happen as expected. Gurman reports that due to the satellite connectivity option available on the iPhone 14, users will be able to connect to satellite networks.
The iPhone 14 will come with an “Emergency Message Via Contacts” option that will allow users to share a short message, even when there is no cellular service available.
