Vodafone Idea Stock: Vodafone Idea Ltd-VI shares rose 15 per cent to Rs 9.57 on the BSE in intra-day trade on Monday due to trading in higher volumes. The shares closed at Rs 9.44 with a gain of 13.33% on BSE today. With this, the telecom service operator’s stock registered its fastest intra-day rally during the calendar year 2022. On December 31, 2021, VI had gained 13 per cent in intra-day trade on the BSE.
Huge jump in company shares
The stock was trading 14 per cent higher at Rs 9.50 at 01:45 pm, compared to a gain of 0.54 per cent in the S&P BSE Sensex. VI’s stock has climbed up to 17 per cent in the last two trading days. VI’s loss narrowed 6.5 per cent on a year-on-year (YoY) basis to Rs 6,563 crore for the January-March quarter (Q4FY22). The company’s revenue grew by 5.4 per cent in the fourth quarter as compared to the December, 2021 quarter.

10 lakh 4G customers added
Quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) EBITDA grew sharply at 21.8 per cent. The company’s Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) increased to Rs 124. In the fourth quarter of the last financial year, VIL’s average revenue per customer stood at Rs 124, as against Rs 115 in the third quarter. That is, there has been an increase of 7.5% in ARPU on a quarterly basis. However, the company lost 3.4 million customers sequentially and had a user base of 243.8 million. At the same time, in this quarter, the company has added 1 million 4G customers.
