The ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia is affecting the whole world. From India’s point of view, due to this war, India has benefited in the export of wheat. India exported 7.85 million tonnes of wheat in the financial year ended March. Which was just 2.1 million tonnes in the year before that. According to top officials, this is the best opportunity for India to increase wheat exports. According to the Government of India, the country had achieved the target of exporting 7 million tonnes of wheat on March 21 itself. Whereas the shipment data for the last ten days of March is not yet available.

India exports wheat to these countries
Apart from Bangladesh, India exports wheat to countries like South Korea, Iran, Oman and Qatar. Delhi-based trader Pahadia Jain says, “Doing business is very risky. Mundra Ports and Kandala Ports are busy handling wheat. Let us tell you that Russia and Ukraine together meet 29% of the wheat requirements of the world. But this supply chain is affected due to the war.
A new crop of wheat is being harvested in India. In such a situation, looking at the current situation of the world, it is being estimated that this financial year also India will be successful in exporting record wheat.
