PM Swanidhi Yojana: Under the PM Svanidhi Yojana, a loan of Rs 3,628 crore has been sanctioned to more than 34 lakh street vendors since its inception.
Loans to 31.19 Lakh Beneficiaries: Financial Services Secretary Sanjay Malhotra said that 31.19 lakh beneficiaries have been given a loan of Rs. Under the Self-Reliant India Campaign, PM Svanidhi Yojana was announced in May, 2020 to help the street vendors and vendors affected by the Corona epidemic.
Under this scheme, the khopcher can get a loan of up to Rs.10,000. In addition, on repayment of the earlier loan, they can take Rs 20,000 and Rs 50,000 in the second and third phases respectively.
Housing and Urban Affairs Secretary Manoj Joshi advocated promoting digital transactions. He said that there is a need to promote it, so that the dependence on cash transactions is reduced and it gets further encouragement. He also urged the banks to take steps for giving small amount loans like PM-Svanidhi.
