Srinagar. A large number of devotees are participating in Amarnath Yatra-2024. The speed at which people are reaching the base camp to have darshan of Baba Barfani, it seems that last year’s record will also be broken. This year so far, more than 4.51 lakh devotees have had darshan of Baba Barfani. Even on Saturday, more than 7,500 devotees reached the holy cave and saw the natural form of Lord Shiva. Many more groups are expected to arrive now.

According to the information, 7,541 pilgrims visited the naturally formed ice Shivling in the Amarnath cave temple in South Kashmir on Saturday. With this, the number of devotees who have visited this inaccessible holy place has crossed 4.5 lakh. Officials said that on Saturday, on the 29th day of the annual Amarnath Yatra, 7,541 pilgrims visited Baba Bholenath. They said that the number of pilgrims who visited the 3,880 meter high holy cave temple has reached 4,51,881.

The journey will be completed on 19 August
According to the officials of Baba Amarnath Yatra Shrine Board, there have been two deaths in this year’s yatra. One of them is a sevadar from Haryana and the other is a pilgrim from Jharkhand. Both died of heart attack on the Baltal route in June. The 52-day Amarnath Yatra will conclude on August 19. Let us tell you that last year about 4.59 lakh pilgrims had reached the holy cave and had darshan of Baba Barfani.

The journey started on 29 June
Amarnath Yatra started on 29 June 2024. Amarnath Yatra lasts for about 2 months. Baba Amarnath’s journey, which starts from Ashadh Purnima, continues till Shravan Purnima. During this, lakhs of Shiva devotees reach Baba’s court and witness Baba’s miracle. Very strict security provisions have been made for this time’s journey. After the attack on the devotees of Mata Vaishno Devi before the start of Amarnath Yatra, strict security arrangements have been made.
