The law was implemented during the Mulayam government

Actually, the law of installing name plates was implemented in the then Mulayam Singh Yadav government of UP and the UPA government passed this bill. These rules were made in 2006 itself, in which it was said that all shopkeepers, Dhaba owners should have their name as well as address and license number. When this order was made, the Chief Minister of the state was Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Apart from this, it was also said in this order that no shopkeeper will employ any person who is suffering from any kind of infection. It was said in the order that no shopkeeper has the right to sell goods on which there is no written information about the quality. The Food Safety Standards Act-2006 states that any person who wants to start work will have to apply to the designated officer for a license.

BJP surrounded Congress-SP

BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya has shared a newspaper cutting on the social media platform X, targeting the Congress and the Samajwadi Party, which states that this law was implemented by the Mulayam Singh Yadav government in the year 2006. Amit Malviya wrote on X, “The Uttar Pradesh government is merely implementing the rules made by the Samajwadi Party government in 2006 for the catering business.
