NEET 2022: Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi on Tuesday assured Chief Minister MK Stalin that the anti-NEET bill recently passed by the state assembly would be sent to the Center for President’s assent.
According to an official release issued here, Stalin called on Governor Ravi at the Raj Bhavan and requested him to send a bill to exempt Tamil Nadu from the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) to the President for approval. The Tamil Nadu Assembly once again passed the anti-NEET bill on February 8 and sent it to the Raj Bhavan for President’s assent. Earlier, the anti-NEET bill passed by the DMK-led government on September 13, 2021 was returned by Governor Ravi after retaining it for 142 days.
