In order to conduct the 67th Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination organized by the Bihar Public Service Commission in a peaceful, transparent and malpractice-free environment by the District Magistrate, a joint briefing was organized in the DRDA meeting room with all the Central Superintendents, Magistrates, Police Officers and necessary guidelines were given.
The exam, conducted in one shift, will be conducted from 12 o’clock to 2:00 pm at 30 centres. In order to maintain peace and order at all the examination centers and malpractice free conduct of the examination, one static magistrate cum observer, police officer, one zonal magistrate cum patrol magistrate have been deputed at each examination center for every 2 to 3 centres.
In the meeting, the District Magistrate directed the Central Superintendents that only after thorough investigation, the candidates should be allowed to enter the examination center. He also directed that the examination should be conducted with utmost strictness and vigilance, so that no candidate can copy, malpractice. In the light of the instructions received from the Bihar Public Service Commission, the candidates arriving late will not be allowed to participate in the examination. The candidates have been appealed to reach the center on time.
It is strictly prohibited to carry written material, any article on the admit card, plain paper, clipboard, slide rule, calculator, mobile phone, bluetooth device, digital diary or any other electronic device inside the examination hall. Except the center superintendent, no other invigilator shall carry a mobile with him.
Videography will also be done at all the exam centres. A sealed packet of question booklet will be provided to the center superintendent by the zonal magistrate till 11 am, one hour before the commencement of the examination. Videography will be done for the receipt and opening of the sealed packets of question booklets and answer sheets.
Absent officer’s salary postponed: In the joint briefing in the Collectorate Auditorium, the District Magistrate also directed to postpone the salary of absent officials and police officers today. The District Magistrate directed the Central Superintendents to hold a meeting with all the invigilators and make them fully aware of all the information and process regarding the examination. The scheduled admission time should be announced through mike and all the examinees should be admitted inside the examination center within the stipulated time. Compulsory seating arrangement for differently-abled people has to be made on the ground floor only. In addition to providing Shruti writers to the visually impaired, candidates suffering from cerebral palsy in the examination, additional time is also to be given. In view of the examination, instructions have been given to take care that there is no jam at the intersections.
