The Border Security Force (BSF) fired several rounds on Saturday after the movement of a Pakistani drone was detected along the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir, following which the Pakistani drone withdrew. An official gave information in the matter.
The BSF official said the drone returned to Pakistan, but a massive search operation has been launched to ensure that no material was dropped from the drone.
Jammu Frontier BSF Deputy Inspector General and Public Relations Officer S. P. Sandhu said, “A drone from Pakistan was seen approaching Indian territory in Arnia area at 7.25 pm. Sandhu said the entire area has been cordoned off and search operation is on to ensure that no material is dropped by the drones. The incident comes three days after the BSF had unearthed an underground cross-border tunnel in Chak Fakira area of Samba district.
