A catchup course will be run to compensate for the loss in studies during the Corona period of the children enrolled in classes 2 to 10 of government schools of Bihar. The Education Department has ordered to start its operation in all government schools of the state immediately. The State Project Director of Bihar Education Project Council Shrikant Shastri has asked all the DEOs to ensure the conduct of cap-up courses in schools from their respective district and block levels, as well as sought daily reports.
The BEP director, through his letter, has admitted that there has been a loss in the education of children during the Corona period. Catchup course was made available to all schools to bridge the learning deficit. Its soft copy is also available on e-lots.

It may be noted that on the initiative of Additional Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar, the catchup course was constructed, but it could not be started due to school closure before the start of academic session 2020-21. Not implemented due to Panchayat elections in August 2021. Now it has been decided to start it in 2022-23.
