Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has given information about taking forward this scholarship scheme. He told that in order to reduce the dropout rate of students after class VIII and to continue their secondary education, the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to continue the National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme for 5 years. . An amount of Rs 1827 crore has been made for this.
Lakhs of students have been benefited

How is the selection done?
The students for this scholarship are selected on the basis of the examination conducted at the regional level. Financial help is given in the form of scholarship from class IX to class 12 to successful students in the examination.
