The date of registration for appearing in NEET-UG 2022 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) conducted for admission to Medical and B.Sc Nursing courses has been extended. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a notice in this regard. Students can now apply till 15th May. Earlier, May 6 was the last date to apply for NEET UG. Students can get more details by visiting neet.nta.nic.in. The registration fee for general category is Rs 1,600, for EWS, OBC, NCL, Rs 1,500 for reserved category candidates and Rs 800 for SC, ST.
Students can now apply for NEET to be held for admission to medical courses at the undergraduate level till 9 pm on May 15. At the same time, the candidates applying will have time till 11:50 pm on May 15 to pay the fee online.
The entrance test will consist of 200 multiple choice questions (four options with one correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology). 50 questions from each subject will be divided into two sections (A and B). Duration of the exam will be 200 minutes (03 hours 20 minutes) from 02:00 PM to 05:20 PM (IST)
The exam will be conducted in English, English and 11 other regional languages. This time, there is no upper age limit for appearing in NEET. Earlier it used to be 25 years for general and 30 years for reserved category candidates
NEET is the only entrance exam for admission to undergraduate medical courses in India. Every year, around 15 lakh medical aspirants appear for this highly competitive exam. With the removal of the age restriction by the National Medical Commission (NMC), the number of applicants for the test is expected to increase this time.
