Mumbai: Shark Tank India 3 has now become one of the favorite shows of the audience. In a recent episode of the show, two young businessmen were seen telling the Sharks about their smart-mop named Caspian. Talking about his smart mop, he enumerated its features. Talking about his product, he said that his aim is to bridge the gap between technology and affordability. Pitchers claimed that their smart mop reduces cleaning time by 50 percent. He asked for Rs 15 lakh from the shark in exchange for 1 percent equity in his company.
After listening to the pitchers, Namita Thapar jokingly asked Anupam Mittal if he would like to take a demo and clean the floors. He called him the “most enthusiastic” judge on Shark Tank India and said that he loves taking demos of any product. On hearing this, all the judges and pitchers start laughing.
Namita Thapar said- “Anupam has to try. You must have seen seasons 1, 2 and 3, right? The most enthusiastic shark for the demo is Anupam. You get it done from him.” Vineeta Singh laughed at Namita’s words and jokingly asked the sprinklers to make the floor as dirty as possible. Anupam accepted the challenge playfully and tested the smart mop.
However, Pitcher failed to impress the Sharks and walked away without a deal. While giving her reaction on the product, Namita Thapar said that she did not find this product so smart. He also advised the pitchers that they should focus on something else instead.
Namita told the pitchers- “Both of you are very smart kids at the age of 24, I strongly advise you to stop this and use your engineering skills in something else. There is nothing smart about this product, you just haven’t thought about it. “As a product, it doesn’t offer anything special or new.”
Vineeta Singh says, ‘You are completely lost about the market.’ Anupam Mittal and Ajbar Iqbal also did not make any offer to the pitchers. After which both of them had to return empty handed. Shark Tank India returned with season three on January 22, 2024. Many familiar sharks from last season include Namita Thapar, executive director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Aman Gupta, co-founder of Boat, Piyush Bansal, co-founder and CEO of Lenskart.
