New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Dharmendra was seen some time ago in the film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ directed by Karan Johar. He also maintains communication with fans on social media. He has shared a video of himself lip-syncing a ghazal written by Mughal emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar. The superstar shared a video on his X account, in which he can be seen lip-syncing to the song of famous playback singer Mohammad Rafi.
The actor has written in the caption accompanying the video, ‘I am sitting here narrating the reality of life…people of my family…my fans cannot see me sad.’ Talking about songs, lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi had used the Mughal emperor’s ghazal in the song ‘Lagta Nahi Dil Mera’ from the 1960 film ‘Lal Qila’. This ghazal was originally written by the Mughal emperor when he was in exile in Rangoon (Myanmar).

In this poem, the pain of the Mughal emperor being separated from his country and his loved ones is clearly visible. He remained in Rangoon till his death and was buried there. He was aware of his fate, which he expressed in the last couplet of this ghazal.
