Mumbai, Aug 16 (IANS) | Pawandeep Rajan of Champawat, Uttarakhand has won the trophy of ‘Indian Idol Season 12’. He has received a check of Rs 25 lakh and a Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire after being declared the winner in ‘The Greatest Finale Ever’. This was announced by the Sony Entertainment Television reality show late Sunday night.
Pawandeep said, “Being a part of ‘Indian Idol Season 12’ was like a dream come true and then being a part of Top 6 was amazing, but winning the title is unbelievable. I still feel like I am dreaming. I want to thank all my fans and viewers who voted for me and gave me this honorable title.”
He said, “From the producers of the show to the musicians, our coaches and my fellow contestants, this trophy belongs to all of you. Thank you, ‘Indian Idol’, and the citizens of India. The feeling is the best, many thanks to all of you. ” Among the top 6 finalists, Arunita Kanjilal and Sayli Kamble were declared the 1st and 2nd runners-up respectively, and all were awarded a check of Rs 5 lakh. The third and fourth runners-up Mohd Danish and Nihal Tauro received checks of Rs 3 lakh each.
