There is a lot of controversy about the film The Kashmir Files. Some people are raising questions about the facts shown in the film, while some are calling it a film that poisons the society. There are also people who are saying that more such films should be made so that people can know what has happened in our country.
TMC spokesperson claimed: Amidst the ongoing controversy over the film, TMC’s National Spokesperson Sanket Gokhale wrote on Twitter that “On perusal of the Censor Board/CBFC files, one thing clearly emerged that the movie The Kashmir Files was given CBFC/Censor Certificate without a cut. Gone. This is unprecedented. This is because there is a catch here that the filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri is on the board of CBFC.”
Gokhale further wrote that “Combine this with the tax breaks given to the film by several BJP-ruled states, as well as several states giving government employees leave to watch the film. This movie is pure surrogate propaganda which is sponsored by BJP and Modi government. The pain of Kashmiri Pandits has been used shamelessly to spread hatred and make money.”
Vivek Agnihotri gave this answer: Vivek Agnihotri, director of the film The Kashmir Files himself, has given a reply to this allegation of TMC’s national spokesperson. Vivek replied, “Please stop spreading fake news as usual. Take a break. At least to honor the dead.” Along with this, Agnihotri has also shared the photo of the news in which it has been told that seven cuts have been made in the film and some words and names have also been changed.
People’s reactions: People are now giving their reactions on social media on this allegation on Twitter. A user named Ankur wrote, “What can we expect from a TMC worker.” A user named Deb wrote that “File a criminal defamation case against him sir.. will forget to make cool on twitter.”
Responding to TMC’s national spokesperson, a user named Kumar Shyam wrote that “You make “the donation files” sir. Give a befitting reply.” A user named Vinay Upadhyay wrote that “Ohhhh..so now you can file a case against it. Collect donations from people and then use it to pay personal bills.” A user named Jayaprakash wrote that “people involved in the massacre of Bengali Hindus are spreading lies.”
