Mumbai,(IANS)| The trailer of Neha Sharma-starrer “Afat-e-Ishq” was released on Monday and the actress says it was “Acting 101″ for her. Neha said, “It was acting 101 for me as my character, Lallo is very different from anything I have portrayed before. Lallo is from a small town in India, so I know the local dialect and Hindi. Had to work hard to get the language. I also had to go through a makeover as I will be seen in a completely de-glam role. However, it was one of the most satisfying characters.”
Produced by Zee Studios and directed by Indrajit Nattoji, Afat-e-Ishq is a dark drama with supernatural elements and a strange twist. It is the official remake of the Hungarian film ‘Liza, the Fox-Fairy’, which was a huge success internationally and won several awards at various film festivals.
Director Indrajit Nattoji said, “‘Aafat-e-Ishq’ is my Indian heartland for ‘Liza, the Fox-Fairy’. I can comfortably say that ‘Aafat-e-Ishq’ is not a remake but an adaptation A reboot with some new twists, scintillating original music and unique Indian characters from small towns. I hope the film captures the imagination of the audience and succeeds in entertaining them, which we all need, as we slowly- Slowly emerging from a devastating pandemic.” The film is releasing on October 29 on Zee5.
